I Will Write a Book On My Career And MS Dhoni Will Be My Main Chapter, Says This Bowler
In an exclusive interview with TheIndianExpress, Hong Kong’s spinner Ehsan Khan states that if Sachin Tendulkar is God, then M.S. Dhoni is the king of cricket.
“If Sachin is God then Dhoni is the ‘King of cricket’. I have plans to write a book on my career and when I do, MS Dhoni will be the main chapter. I shall read it to my grandson because life is like a fairy-tale now,” the 33-year-old spinner said.
Hong Kong all-rounder, Ehsan Khan regarded Sachin Tendulkar and M.S. Dhoni, as two of the greats, to have ever played the game of cricket. Perhaps, as per the cricketer’s words, it was always a dream for him to take the wickets of both Sachin and Dhoni, for at least once in his lifetime. While, it was disheartening for the Hong Kong cricket for not having taken the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar in his career, dismissing former Indian captain M.S.Dhoni for “zero” in the group stage clash of the Asia Cup 2018 was undoubtedly one of the best moments in his life.
“In my dreams, I would often think of dismissing Sachin Tendulkar or MS Dhoni. Sachin ko nahi kar paya, dukh hai. Dhoni ka wicket mila…Isliye jhuk key sajda kiya (Couldn’t take the wicket of Sachin but bagged the wicket of Dhoni. This is why I bent down and paid respect),” Ehsan added.
In the same match, Ehsan also took the crucial wicket of Rohit Sharma, restricting India to 285, eventually losing the match by 26runs. In the game against Pakistan, the right-arm all-rounder also tried to put breaks against Pakistani batting line, in a bid to defend a very low total. Ehsaan managed to take the important wickets of Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, however, the target was too low to defend.
