In an exclusive Interview with Hindustan Times, Shilpa Shetty told her fans the reason behind taking a backseat from her film career, stating that her son Viaan was her top priority at that time.
“For me, I can’t talk about the other people but my family is my priority and I was very clear about that and I think that’s why I took that sabbatical. Films always took a back seat. But I think now since my son is more settled, he is growing up and he’s not as dependent on me now.” Shilpa told Hindustan Times.
“I think films are a choice. When you make that you need to understand that, you have to understand that the schedules are going to be very erratic, and there long patches where you can’t see your child. I feel that is the adjustment that I am ready to do today because I am slightly more sorted on the home front. Back in the day, I was very clear that I don’t want to do it.” She added.
The TV host and judge, has now ventured herself in the digital world, hosting an upcoming web show called “ Hear Me Love Me”, streaming on Amazon Prime. Talking about her role in the show, Shilpa told her fans that the actress is playing as a catalyst in the show, helping the girl find the right guy with whom she would go on a date with.
“It was a very unique concept and an original format. The role I play in this series is that of a catalyst, helping the girls who are participating in our show. Each girl is given the choice of three boys. They get to know about them during the course of the day and I am there to help her chose who she should go with on her blind date.” The 43-year-old actress was quoted as saying.
Shilpa Shetty made her acting debut in the year 1993 with the award-winning movie, Baazigar. She is married to the businessman Raj Kundra in the year 2009. The couple has a son, Viaan Raj Kundra who was born in May 2012.
